Tractor trailer driver leaves family with serious injuries after a three-vehicle collision. CMS&C helps victims find restoration with a $1.775 million recovery.

This case involved a high-speed collision that left the Plaintiffs with serious orthopedic injuries. Three vehicles were involved in the collision. The first vehicle was the Plaintiff's pickup truck. The second vehicle was a van. The Defendant, an inexperienced tractor trailer driver, was behind the wheel of the third vehicle.

The Plaintiff was driving his family down the highway at 50mph in a pickup truck. The tractor trailer was being driven in a southerly direction at a high rate of speed when the van entered the highway. The Defendant did not slow his vehicle until it was too late. His tractor trailer collided with the van, and then jackknifed across the highway directly into the path of the Plaintiff's pickup truck. The Plaintiff and his family received injuries that required lengthy hospital stays. The driver of the pickup truck is still disabled.

After two years of litigation and two separate mediation sessions, CMS&C settled the case for a total of $1,775,000. The van driver paid his policy limits and the waste management company paid $1.75 million.
