$650,000 Rear-End Collision

Day trader leaves customer service representative disabled after a high-speed rear-end collision. CMS&C helps victim pick up the pieces with a $650,000 recovery.

This case involved a high-speed, rear-end automobile accident that left the Plaintiff disabled. The Defendant was driving his 3-ton SUV at approximately 65 mph while trading stocks via his cell phone. The Defendant rear-ended the Plaintiff, who was stopped in traffic, without any attempt to stop his vehicle.

The Plaintiff's small pick up truck was pushed into a call box, causing a double impact that led to a cerebral concussion, closed-head injury, and a right ankle contusion. The Plaintiff was also treated for memory loss, closed concussion syndrome, inconsistent word finding recall deficits, and chronic pain, as well as jaw pain and a tear of the anterior fibular ligament in her right ankle. The Plaintiff continues to suffer complications from the accident and is no longer able to continue her work as a customer service representative.

CMS&C worked with medical and biomechanical experts to demonstrate the severity and impact of the victim's disability. CMS&C helped the Plaintiff settle her case for $650,000 without a trial.
