$750,000 Recovery in Medical Malpractice Suit
Electrician no longer able to work with wires after simple elbow surgery leaves him with severe nerve damage. CMS&C helps Plaintiff recover damages for loss of income and continued pain.
This case involved an electrician who underwent a simple operation to remove bone chips from his elbow. During the arthroscopic procedure, doctors improperly placed the entry portals and damaged a branch of the Plaintiff's radial nerve.
The malpractice required the Plaintiff to undergo a subsequent nerve graph. The Plaintiff has since lost considerable use of his left hand, which has impaired his ability to perform his usual and customary work as an electrician.
CMS&C worked with experts, including orthopedic surgeons, economists, and rehabilitation consultants to demonstrate the cause and result of the Plaintiff's condition. The Defendant's settled for $750,000 before the trial.
