What started out as a day of fun and excitement for a California family ended in tragedy. While making the drive to Disneyland to celebrate their daughter's birthday, a terrible car crash occurred. Sadly, all five members of this family perished in the collision.
The crash occurred in Hesperia the morning of Mother's Day. While the family's sedan was stopped at a stop sign, a van traveling toward the intersection purportedly crossed into the wrong lane and collided with the sedan. Somehow, the van ended up on top of the family's vehicle before coming to a stop. Two adults and three children in the car, ages 2 to 30, were killed.
The driver of the van reportedly only suffered minor injuries in the collision. Local authorities have yet to release any other information regarding this individual. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. As for now, the reasons behind the van drifting into the wrong lane remain unknown.
This horrific event has surely caused a great deal of pain for the victims' surviving family members. Such a tragedy is not only emotionally difficult to cope with, but the funeral expenses for all five victims can create a severe financial hardship for those left picking up the pieces. Wrongful death claims may be made on behalf of each victim in an effort to ease the financial strain caused by this car crash. If the individual deemed responsible for this collision is found liable, a California civil court could award the surviving family members monetary compensation for each claim.
