40 Years of Excellence: Our Firm’s History
Casper, Meadows, Schwartz & Cook

As we go through our 40th year, our firm takes a look back at the inspiration behind our practice, the ways in which we have changed over the years, how we’ve grown, and our focus moving forward. We’d also like to acknowledge our community for continuously supporting us and allowing us to represent them through some of their most difficult times.

Our ultimate goal is to continue moving forward and standing up for those who feel they don’t have a voice against large corporations. This is a history of our firm’s last 40 years and our commitment to excellence for our clients.

Where We Began

We opened our doors in 1979 with a focus on truly understanding how serious acts of negligence affected families. At our firm, family is one of our biggest priorities; something we truly value. And one incident of negligence can cause an individual to suffer, as well as this person’s family and the entire community.

Because of the stress involved, we get on the sides of injured people and their families. Our firm was built on the basis of people and their families. We were never going to focus on diversifying our practice; instead, we solely aimed to stand up for the victims of injuries when other people’s actions were the cause.

From the very beginning, our primary focus has been people. Where some firms look at cases, we look at real individuals in real situations. With us, you’re always going to receive the care and attention you truly need and deserve through a situation that can be difficult and daunting.

Where We’ve Grown

Where we were roughly 20 years from now to where we are today has shown the leaps and bounds we have made as advocates for the people of our community. Since we opened our doors, we have worked on more and more complex cases—bigger cases. We have helped individuals with severe injuries and have taken on some of the toughest cases on behalf of our clients.

As a result of our growth, there is no defendant too big for us to litigate against and no entity we’ll back down from when it comes to the rights of our clients.

We have earned a long-standing reputation of being experienced in court. We’re not the type to be satisfied with settling for whatever insurance companies try to offer. Instead, we’re fighting for our clients, building a strong support group with attorneys in the area, and they know our name.

We’re also proud of the accomplishments of our team, many becoming highly appointed members of the Contra Costa County Bar Association, honored with numerous recognitions, and become prominent figures in our community.

Where We’re Going

With 40 years down and many more to go, our mission remains the same: continue to be a positive influence on the lives of our clients. We want to continue to grow in all of what we do, understanding the various ways to handle complicated cases and seeking the most favorable outcomes for those who put their trust in our team.

Continuity is the ever-lasting theme with our firm, and we’ll be sure it remains with our client-centric approach. You come first because relationships will always matter with us. You speak with our attorneys directly where some firms pass clients off to others. Instead, you’ll work with someone who believes in you and your voice.

Finally, through our combination of experience, resources, and personal relationship, we strive to be your advocates for justice. We handle any case—any size—and we have the results to prove that we’re not afraid to go the extra mile on your behalf.

At Casper, Meadows, Schwartz & Cook, our injury lawyers are focused on the people of Walnut Creek and Contra Costa County. You can count on us.
