Two Car Crash That Led to Three Fatalities Still Under Investigation

Casper, Meadows, Schwartz & Cook

A fatal crash involving two cars near Lower Lake has left three people dead and three seriously injured. The crash took place on Saturday night on Highway 29. The two vehicles had been heading in opposite directions down the highway. One family was headed to a birthday party and the other was headed to a golf course to watch a friend's band play. The crash occurred on a bend of the road, where the driver of one car, a 2001 BMW, apparently lost control of their vehicle, causing them to veer into the other lane, leading to the crash.

Police are trying to figure out what happened at the scene of this accident. Officers shut down the highway for several hours to investigate, but the exact sequence of events leading up to the crash is still not completely clear. Police do not know what happened that caused the driver to lose control and serve into the oncoming lane. The driver of the BMW does not remember what led to the loss of control of the car, and survivors from the other vehicle had no information to offer to shed light on the accident either.

Foul play is not suspected and there is no evidence that alcohol or other substances were involved in this tragic accident. The survivors, currently recovering at local hospitals, suffered severe injuries. The driver of the BMW is still in intensive care. Victims from the other vehicle have varying degrees of severe injuries as well. The driver of the vehicle lost his girlfriend, her daughter, as well as her daughter's boyfriend in the fatal crash.
